Statement of the Academic Community of Velayat University of Iranshahr Condemning the Brutal Attacks on Universities and Academics in the Country

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

Velayat University of Iranshahr, as one of the higher education centers in the southeast of the country, strongly condemns the recent attacks on academic institutions and the university community of our nation. The university regards these assaults—carried out in a hostile and destructive manner—as a clear sign of desperation and failure in achieving their objectives in the face of the strength and resilience of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Following the firm and decisive response of the defenders of our homeland, and the failure of hostile plans aimed at harming the nation and forcing Iran to submit to illegitimate demands, these adversaries have now turned to targeting universities and academic communities. These centers represent scientific independence and serve as the foundation for training the country’s future scholars across various fields. Such attacks are intended to hinder the continuous growth and development of a proud and advancing Iran. However, they overlook the long and resilient history of the Iranian nation, which has overcome far greater challenges through reliance on divine guidance, the teachings of Islam, and the wise leadership of the late founders of the Islamic Revolution, as well as the prudent guidance of the current Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Accordingly, the academic community of Velayat University of Iranshahr reaffirms its commitment to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and expresses full support for the defenders of the nation. The university strongly condemns the actions of those who falsely claim to defend knowledge, culture, and civilization, yet attack academic institutions and scholars. The university also calls upon other universities and academics across the country, as well as international academic communities and free‑thinking scholars around the world, to break their silence and take appropriate steps in condemning these actions and exposing their true nature.

With God’s permission, we remain confident that these hostile efforts will ultimately fail, and that the dignity, progress, and resilience of Iran and its people will continue to shine as a source of strength against oppression.
